The compatibility is one of the biggest issues that are all drone dock manufacturers facing, what caused this situation? How to solve it?
The automation of drone is already an unstoppable trend in many aspects, drone docking stations with automatic take-off, automated landing and charging functions becomes a prominence in such a wave. Most drone service providers own multiple drones from different brands and models, which leads to the compatibility issue of drone docks.
I have done some research about drone charging stations' compatibility, it seems most drone charging dock suppliers are using their ways to achieve the recharge by retrofitting drones' landing gears, American Robotics and Airscort included, but compatibility is not mentioned in either of their websites. The drone charging pad of Edronic is compatible with major DJI drones, Skycharge's drone charging pads are compatible with DJI and Parrot drones.
I also found HEISHA drone docks were compatible with many drone models including DJI, Skydio, Parrot, Autel, and Yuneec, they also claim on the website that their drone docking stations work with different drones at the same time. I dug this video, seems true.
